We at the DT Companies are excited to announce our newest acquisition to the Sales Team at DT Roofing. Kelly Van Buren has been named our Vice President of Sales.

For over 28 years, Kelly Van Buren has been a noteworthy leader in the Sales & Sales Management space. Guided by the principle that people and relationships come first. His favorite quote is “No transaction is worth our name.” You may be familiar with him as a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty here in Hood County and surrounding areas. Since 2015 his company Van Buren Real Estate Group has consistently performed within the top 5% of all Realtors in Hood County by volume and production. He previously served on the Keller Williams Agent Leadership Council where he among other things taught, coached and trained new and existing agents on how to start, build and sustain their own real estate business through the Keller Williams Ignite Training Program.

He is also a Real Estate Investor. In that capacity, his has bought, sold and managed single family and multiple family rentals as well as self-storage facilities and short-term rentals.

Furthermore, Kelly has built new homes as well as remodeled and flipped existing homes. On a larger scale, Kelly has been a principle in several different ventures in the frac sand mining industry where construction projects exceeded more than $100 million in both the land acquisition and infrastructure build out of Class I multimodal rail facilities. Here in Hood County, he was credited with contributions to Cresson Bypass project where he was honored to serve as a special land commissioner.

Moreover, Kelly is most proud of the 5 years he spent as a Licensed Dale Carnegie Instructor where he built a strong team of Sales Professionals and other Licensed Instructors who worked with hundreds of companies throughout the North Texas helping their teams define and meet their goals through public and in-house Leadership and Sales training courses designed around their specific business needs. It was during this time circa 1999 when he and his wife Rebecca enrolled Derek Tanner in a Dale Carnegie Course and a friendship began.

Following his time with Dale Carnegie, Kelly went on to help lead the Sales team at AmeriCredit which at the time was the 5th largest auto finance company in North America. There he designed and implemented strategies which grew and enabled a sales team of more than 300 sales representatives to increase market share, strengthen relationships and gain commitments at the highest levels within their market areas which generated $8 billion in annual sales.

Now in his 20th year as a Hood County resident Kelly has been very active in the community serving on numerous boards such as the Hood County YMCA as well as the long-range planning committee within his home neighborhood of Pecan Plantation.

Kelly’s greatest passion is coaching, teaching and sharing what he has learned through his life experiences to help others design their life, build their business and fuel their purpose.

Kelly and his wife Rebecca are founding members of StoneWater Church. And as member he has facilitated numerous financial bible studies over the last 17 years.
