What we check for:
All the pipes that extend upward from your roof have some type of caulk or flashing that works to prevent leaking. We check around each one of these to make sure there are no signs of damage or wear. Next, we check for signs of fungus or algae growth. This can happen if you have low-hanging branches over your roof. It’s also important to check for missing or damaged shingles. Lastly, we check around the chimney. The flashing and/or adhesive product used around the chimney will wear out over the years allowing rain to seep in.
We advise if any leaves or debris are on the roof and suggest trimming back any low-hanging branches. If you do see possible problems on your roof, call DT Roofing & Construction right away.
